4.1 Simulation, Evaluation & Optimization - cycle time reduction and optimization scenario

Due to increasing demand, you can increase the production volume of your factory.
Therefore, the management, together with the production management, proposes a reduction of the cycle time to 190 seconds. You are to check with the help of ipolog whether this cycle time change can be implemented.

Please create a copy of the set-up scenario.

To do this, first close the created scenario via close. Then go to the created scenario in the Planning Space. On the far right, 3 points appear, which can be used to edit the scenario, among other things.

Please continue as follows and adjust the title and description of the scenario and save the copy with the command Save as.

Now open the new scenario and go to Options and reduce the cycle time there under the tab "Simulation" and confirm with Enter.

The aim of this task is for the line (as shown in the previous steps) to be as busy as possible.

Tips:

• e.g. reduce walking distances by moving material.
• e.g. optimise employee utilisation, levelling the process times for the assembly volumes
• ....

Now optimise the line and apply the knowledge you have learned from the previous tasks - be creative!
