The Logistics Quantity Structure (LMG) forms the data basis for logistics planning with ipolog 4 Material Flow.
Please note: Since version 4.5.0, the import of a logistics quantity framework is no longer possible in ipolog 4 and is replaced by the import of parts data. To transfer your part data to the “Logistics quantity framework” module, you must select “Update LQF to part data planning state”:
Structure of import file
In this article we will present the columns of the LQF. Please use the headers of each column as defined in the following table. Please also read carefully the hints we have listed up.
Hints:
- Please do not change the name of the spreadsheet "IPO LMG" from the template
- Please do not change the column names (for cells A - AK) or remove columns from the logistics quantitiy framework.
- To create your own logistics quantity framework, please use the attached file "LQF_Example_Dataset". The mandatory fields have to be filled in - they are highlighted in blue. In order to identify these fields more easily, please refer to the following table overview (column Mandatory and Optional)

Note:
If the custom columns are to be imported and read by the software, the predefined column names (custom 1 - 60) must be changed and values must be defined for the individual cells.
It is not possible to import more than 60 custom columns.
The columns AB - AK as well as the columns AL - BJ (if imported) can be shown and hidden:
- With this button the material areas can be hidden. All columns that are hidden by activating this function are highlighted in purple.
- With this button the custom columns can be hidden. All columns that are hidden by activating this function are highlighted in purple.
Error message during import:
If errors occur, the logistics quantity framework cannot be imported. Warnings inform the user that different data statuses exist here. An import of the logistics quantity framework is then possible despite warning messages.

Diff Report for Reimport
An already imported logistics quantity framework can be replaced in the software via reimport. The user is shown which changes have occurred compared to the previous version.
The individual cells can have four different values:

yellow | Individual values were changed here. The previous value for these cells is always in parentheses after the new value. |
red | This entry has been deleted compared to the previous logistics quantity framework. Only whole lines are displayed in red. |
white | No changes have been made here. |
The basis for the colored background of the columns in the colors green and red is always the LOG-ID.
In order to ensure as much transparency as possible for part groupings, four right rectangles are displayed before each part grouping in the Diff report. Each rectangle describes a different state that the values can assume. The number of changed rows of this part grouping is entered in this rectangle.
This could look like the following:
Here this means that the LOG-112 is the only one that has been added to this part grouping (green background).
The LOG-111 has been removed from the parts grouping (highlighted in red). For this reason, there is a red rectangle with the number 1 in front of the parts grouping.
The LOG-106 has been updated. Thus the number 1 is displayed in the yellow rectangle.
In this example, no part number of this parts grouping has remained unchanged. For this reason, a 0 is entered for each part grouping in the rightmost rectangle in the overview of changes.
Columns "Calculated data" - blue background
Average consumptions
The calculation of the columns "Parts per day", "Load carriers per day" and "Load units per day" is based on the products per day.
This value is calculated in the software using one of the following options:
- When generating provision requirements in the software, the output is calculated and displayed in the Production Data submodule.
- The output, i.e. the products per day, is also calculated when importing exported provisioning requirements into the software ipolog 4 Material Flow from ipolog 4 Workspace.
In the software, the output is represented as follows:
As already mentioned, this output forms the basis for the calculation of the columns mentioned above. This looks as follows:

The calculation is always based on LOG-IDs.
Weight of loading carriers and loading units
The columns "Loading carrier weight" and "Loading unit weight" are calculated on the basis of the part weight of the parts contained and the loading carrier or loading unit weight. The calculation looks as follows:
