Since version 4.5.0, it is possible to set global settings for material provisioning in the Material Zone Editor and the Material Provisioning Editor. To do this, first select the "Material Zone Editor":
Via "Open Box Demand Dialog" you can open the advanced options for material provisioning:
A window will then open in which the settings can be changed:
1. Storage Level
You can use the "Storage Level" strategy to define which stock parameters are to be used as the basis for material provisioning:
You can set your material according to "Initial Level", "Reorder Level" and "Safety Level" multiplied by a multiplier of the corresponding stock parameter. Example: If the opening stock level is 10 units and the multiplier is 2, 20 units are used for the opening stock level.
A combination is also possible - this is then added up. The box matrix decides in which configuration container groups are placed.
More about "Box matrix" here.
More about "Stock parameters" here.
2. Box Type
With the "Box Type" strategy, you can place your material separately according to its container - "Loading Carrier" or "Loading Unit":
The box count determines how many containers are used per material in order to prepare it.
The box matrix determines the configuration in which container groups are positioned.
3. Fallback
"Fallback" is the standard strategy for arranging materials. It is always used if neither of the other two strategies is selected or if they cannot be used:
The box count determines how many containers are used per material in order to prepare it.
The box matrix determines the configuration in which container groups are positioned.
4. Affected Provisioning Requirements
This is where you decide which material is to be affected by the global changes in the Box Demand dialog:
- "All": Every material in your planning area is affected by the global changes
- "Only those not edited manually": Only the material whose boxcount has not yet been manually adjusted in the Material Provisioning Editor is affected by the global changes
Finally, the settings you have made must be accepted with "Update Box Count" in order to be valid. "Cancel" cancels the adjustment of the material settings.
