To get better transport calculation result, there are default values set for the initial, reorder and safety levels per LOG-ID in the supply chain editor.
The default values can be changed manually at any time. They are taken out of customer projects and therefore represent expierenced project values.
Inital Level
The following conditions apply to the default values of the initial level, depending on the incoming container from the default supply chain:
Case 1: Loading Unit as delivery container in stage 1 , repacking processes irrelevant
- (A) if LE (Loading Unit) / day < 20
- Stage 1: Initial level =1∗parts per loading unit
- Stages in between: Initial level = Initial level of stage 1
- Stage n: Initial Level = 0
- (B) if LE (Loading Unit) / day > 20
- Stage 1: Initial level = 2∗parts per loading unit
- Stage in between: Initial level = 20∗parts per loading unit
- Stage n: Initial level= 0
Case 2: Loading Carrier as delivery container in stage 1 without repacking processes:
- Stage 1:Initial level = 2 * Parts per load carrier
- Stage in between: Initial level = Initial level of Stage 1
- Stage n: Initial level = 0
Case 3: Loading Carrier as delivery container in stage 1 with repacking processes
- Stage 1: Initial level = 2 ∗ parts per load carrier
- Levels up to the rightmost change: Initial level = Initial level of Stage 1
- Most right change level: Initial level =1∗parts per loading unit
- Stage to end: Initial level = Initial level change level (Further changes are irrelevant)
- Stage n: Initial balance = 0
Reorder level
The following conditions apply to the default values of reorder levels:
- Reorder level = Initial Level - reorder quantity (auto-calculated)
- If the auto-calculated value is smaller than the safety level, the reorder level equals to the safety level
- If the user types in a value that is smaller than the safety level, the reorder level equals to the safety level
Safety level
The following conditions apply to the default values of safety levels (Loading Carrier or Loading Units as incoming delivery container in stage 1)
- Calculation formula: 2h * (parts per day / net working time)
- For imported or missing provision requirements the default value of 16h is set for the net working time
- If the user types in a value that is larger than the reorder level, the reorder level equals to the safety level
- If the value for the safety level is bigger than the SUM of initial level + reorder quantity , Then a new inital level is calculated with following formula : safety level + 1* parts per loading carriers / loading units
- This condition is valid for stage 1. All other stages have a value of 0.
Notes:
- The safety level should be below the reorder level.
- The calculated safety level equals to a stock buffer of a 2 hours time frame.
General Information
-
The counting steps of the spinboxes for initial, reorder and safety levels are always multiples of the value of the attribute parts per load carrier or parts per load unit (depending on what is delivered to the stage, LT or LE).
-
Default values are set after creating supply chains (saving the decission tree)
- Manually changed values remain unchanged after the following actions:
- Re-Import LMG
- Change production data (shift plan, number of products, cycle time)
- Re-import and save the shift plan
- Automatically set (not manually changed) default values update themselves after the following actions:
- LMG Re-Import
- Change production data (shift plan, number of products, cycle time)
- Re-import and save the shift plan
