The ipolog Factory Viewer supports the display of viewer scenes in 3D using VR glasses. This allows planning content to be viewed immersively and spatial relationships to be experienced realistically.
Procedure for using the Factory Viewer in VR mode
Requirements:
- The necessary VR software is installed on the device.
- The VR glasses are connected and switched on.
- If necessary, contact your internal IT department for assistance with setup.
Starting Factory Viewer in VR mode
Option 1: Start via ipolog 4 Workspace / Material Flow

In ipolog 4, open the settings or options for the Factory Viewer in the top right-hand corner.
- Activate the ‘Start Viewer with VR enabled’ checkbox.

Option 2: Standalone start
- Open the installation folder.
- Start the file ipolog_FactoryViewer_VR.exe.
Switching to VR mode (while the viewer is running)
- Activate the ‘Activate VR mode’ button in the function bar at the top to switch to VR mode.
Operation in VR view
- In the VR environment, you can move around freely in the scene and look around using the VR glasses and controllers.
- Tooltips and standard menus are not displayed in VR view as they would be difficult to read there.
- You can switch back to desktop mode at any time via the controller menu.
