Since version 4.5.0 was implemented, the project structure in the portal has changed accordingly. Projects now form the top level, with scenarios organized directly below them, which in turn contain planning spaces. This change was also accompanied by an expansion of the options for creating, editing and managing scenarios.
Creating a scenario
To create a scenario, first select “Create scenario” in the project overview:
A window will then open in which you can create the new scenario and link the associated data:
1 | When creating a scenario, you can use a template to speed up the process. You can create a template in the project view and use it here under “Select scenario or template”. |
2 | You can enter a name for your scenario here. |
3 | Optionally, a short description of the scenario can be created. |
4 | Several types of resources can be stored here that can be accessed by all future planning spaces in this scenario. These can be created or imported in the Common Data and adapted to the individual planning spaces using rulesets. |
5 | From here, you can start the migration of your old scenarios, which will then be included as planning spaces in this newly created v3 scenario. Find out more about migration here. |
