With the implementation of ipolog Version 4.5.0 the portal was also updated to the new v3 project structure. How to migrate your existing scenarios from the previous (v2) to the current (v3) structure is explained in this article:
1. First log in to the portal with your login details:
2. In the scenario area, you can check the color scheme to determine whether you are in the previous or current structure.
The previous structure is gray and marked with a note:
If necessary, select “Switch to v3 scenario structure” to access the v3 project area.
3a. Create a new scenario there to prepare for the migration:
Select “Start migration” to call up the migration assistant.
3b. Or create a new scenario and select “Migrate existing scenarios to new structure” directly during creation to call up the migration assistant.
Do not forget to also select boxes, racks and part data:
4a. Here you can migrate your previously created scenarios (from the previous project structure v2) to the current structure:
The progress indicator at the top of the window [1] shows you which processing step you are currently in. The scenarios, that are to be exported can also be filtered [2], while scenarios that have already been migrated are marked with a note [3]. For more clarity, the scenarios are divided into workspace and material flow scenarios [4]. The buttons at the bottom of the window allow you to cancel the migration or proceed to the next step [5]. Select the scenarios you'd like to import via the checkbox next to their titles.
4b. Once you have made your selection, you can check it in the next step:
The progress bar has now jumped to the next step, which is highlighted in blue. At this point, you can view all previously selected scenarios and make any necessary adjustments - such as changing the name of the future planning space or specifying the number of revisions of the v2 scenario (if available) that are to be imported. If the Common Data boxes or rack references stored in the v3 scenario do not match the references stored in the v2 scenario, a message will also be displayed here [1]. Once you have checked everything, you can cancel the migration, continue or return to the scenario selection [2].
Information bubbles explain the process and the individual points of the migration:
4c. To be on the safe side, the migration assistant gives you another opportunity to check or adjust your selection:
When you are satisfied with your selection, select “Migrate to new structure” to start the process. A warning message will confirm that the process has been started.
5. After a short time, the migrated scenarios - now “planning spaces” - appear in your overview.
The migrated planning spaces can now be used - including new planning states from the Common Data.
