New functions in ipolog 4 Material Flow
Sequences:
- In order to have the planning data in the logistical quantity structure consistent with the changes in the bundler editor, the data from the bundler editor is now synchronized into the logistical quantity structure after saving. This is a prerequisite for us so that we can also include the bundlers in the calculation of provisioning requirements in the production data submodule.
- Currently, it is necessary to reassign the LOG IDs in the bundler editor again, so that a recalculation of the provisioning requirements can be started with consideration of the new calculation logic for bundlers.
New filter components in the supply chain editor:
- Because of the newly installed filter, problem-free filtering in the supply chain is now possible again. In this way, all visible columns in the supply chain editor can be completely filtered again.
- It is also now possible to filter for empty entries. This makes it easier to search for specific entries, for example, when filtering by status defined/undefined.
- When switching from a supply chain (full) to a disposal chain (empty), the filter is now also retained in full again.
- This new filter also gives us the possibility to add it to other tables. You are missing a filter? Feel free to write us, we are looking forward to your feedback.
Standardized scenario view:
- In addition, scenarios are now also sorted in ipolog 4 Material Flow in downward order according to the last modification date.
Changes to standard supply chains that are already in use:
- For a standard supply chain it is possible to change the layout level later, even if the Stadard supply chain is already in use.
Other modifications:
- The maximum speed on a route section can be reduced to 0.01m/s. If a transport cannot be fulfilled at this low speed due to the Provision time windows, a message is issued in the order list at the order.
- We have made a few small error corrections in the logistical quantity structure in our sample data.
Known Errors:
- To get the correct values in the KPI Monitor, please close the KPI Monitor once. After reopening, it will update itself successfully.
- The stop point in the supply chain of the bundler remains if the bundler chain has not been assigned afterwards.
- The default bundle chains and the default supply chains are currently missing from the confirmation prompt when deleting layout levels.
- In the case of route restrictions, the worker for the direct means of transport is not deleted for supply chains that have already been planned.
- If a full-load empties exchange is defined, the wrong material area is displayed in the transport simulation.
- Sometimes the connections and breakpoints cannot always be selected correctly in the path network editor. Here, another click often helps.
- When calculating the weight in the logistic quantity structure, the weight of the container is currently not taken into account.
- When deleting process modules that are used in the standard bundle chain, there is currently a crash.
- If there is a container exchange at a stage in the supply chain, this is not correctly taken into account in the group formation in the table of transport relationships.
- In the transport calculation, there is a crash if standard bundle chains are in use and transfer trips are allowed in the breaks.
- In Shift Plan Management, shifts can be swapped when importing shift plans that cover more than one day. In addition, minor display errors can still occur in Shift Plan Management.
- After changing the area type and layout re-import, the number of areas is not changed and type changes are not taken into account.
- In the transport simulation, in the Gantt, in the transport list, the distribution times that are smaller than one second are not evaluated.
Fixed issues:
- In the Layout Editor, after importing a layout, the display of the facilities in 2D is now displayed correctly (position & scaling).
- In the Layout Editor, all surrounding geometries in the 2D view are also deleted after re-importing a layout.
- The hall has now again all existing material surfaces from the layout after import all assigned.
- In the transport simulation is removed in the KPI table when changing the simulation parameters. The the button when recalculating the simulation parameters only remains active.
- In the evaluation in the KPI monitor, categories are no longer missing for new scenarios.
- In the transport simulation, the state of the checkbox and the 3D view match.
- The Save button in the VK Editor no longer remains active when automatically generated routes are used.
- The status and display of the defined VKs in a group of parts is no longer changed by setting a filter.
- If there is no disposal process, the LOG IDs now also have the correct status in the disposal chains.
- Grouped and non-grouped parts now also have the correct status in VK and EK for full/empties exchange.
- The maximum and minimum empties quantity is now also visualized as a load unit.
- The LMG is sorted by LOG ID by default and displays the grouped values at the bottom until the user manually changes the sort order.
- There is no more crash after reimporting the LMG or after some changes in the decision tree. At the same time, the assigned parts to the grouping chains remain correct. Also the number of LOG IDs is correct.
- In the 2D view, all LOG IDs are no longer listed twice.
- There is no longer a crash when re-importing shift plans in an existing scenario and immediately assigning this shift plan.
- The order list no longer shows an incorrect number, of orders after changes in the supply chain editor. The order list is now correctly updated after changes in this view, even after changes to breakpoints in the supply chain editor.
- In the Scenario view, deleted scenarios are now moved directly to the Trash.
New functions in ipolog 4 Workspace
- Unified scenario view:
-
In the last weeks we have unified our scenario view. As a result, it now appears in ipolog 4 Workspace in the same way as ipolog 4 Material Flow. As a result, the user now has a unified view of this view and the application is simplified for the user due to the same behavior.
-
In a first release, the deletion of scenarios in a recycle bin is now also available for ipolog 4 Workspace. In the next release the full integration of this function is expected to follow.
-
It is also still possible to open revisions of scenarios.
-
In addition, we have integrated a button for ipolog 4 Workspace to switch back to the last opened scenario.
-
-
Other adjustments:
-
In the Material Zone Editor, it is possible to individually change the distances of individual elements on the surface or of containers in the shelf. This means that it is now also possible to deviate from the default values defined in the options.
-
In the Summary Report, a separate column now indicates the area on which the material is still used.
-
The icon for deleting in the layout editor no longer differs between the surfaces and the facilities.
-
The Diff Report now also shows the parts when it is exported.
-
The Excel template has been revised so that it should now be even more transparent which data is required for planning with ipolog.
-
In addition, the number of containers can now be set above 100 in the Material Provisioning Editor.
-
Furthermore, we have tidied up the File Menu and removed some functions that were no longer used.
-
In addition, the Production Flow View has been revised so that it is now clearer for users.
-
When exporting the provision requirements, we have now adapted the ids so that this is analogous to the description in the Projects Admin view.
-
Known Errors:
-
When adding a dummy material in the Material Provisioning Editor, there is a crash if no material area has been selected before.
-
When creating shelves and storing shelf and bay names, these are not always taken over correctly, but are partially replaced by the default values.
-
Currently, no 3D geometry can be stored for shelves in the catalog.
-
When changing scenarios, it is possible that data from the previously opened scenario is still visible, depending on the actions previously performed.
-
When importing a CAD file, there may be differences depending on the data format.
-
If a production program is activated when exporting from the 4MF Package, this can lead to a crash. We recommend here to export the provision requirements, if these are desired, via the separate button.
-
In the Conveyor Editor, the position and orientation are not used immediately after a restart. Here you have to click again on the corresponding station in the Conveyor Editor.
-
When creating new stations, the direction of the station cannot currently be changed. The change is currently only possible in the Layout Editor directly when clicking on a surface.
-
If after the crash of scenarios the buttons in the Project Admin view do not become active directly, please change the scenario. Afterwards, the buttons are also active in the desired scenario.
-
Currently WorkerPoints can be adjusted, although they are not in use. Please check the WorkerPoint again before changing it.
-
In the Animation Control the selected product is not selected during the simulation, even if "Animation Control" is closed. After that the button "Pause" does not work anymore.
Solved Errors:
-
The name of the worker is now displayed in the tooltip for the respective container.
-
A crash when calculating the worker routes has been fixed.
-
In the "Facilities" view, the facilities that are used are always listed. In addition, the position coordinates are adjusted at the same time as the facility is moved.
-
When increasing the width, the horizontal scroll bar no longer disappears.
-
Tapping points on the vehicle are available for selection again.
-
There is no longer a display error with blocking groups.
-
Canceling during the production of dummy material is no longer erroneous.
-
The Rack Distance setting is no longer lost when closing WS.
-
When creating a new material, non-existing material areas can no longer be used.
-
In Project Management, an Activated Production Program no longer results in duplicated AVO processes for an exported Excel.
-
Facilities in 4WS are no longer moved differently in the 3D and 2D views after reimport.
-
Facilities of the referenced scenarios are now displayed.
New functions in the ipolog 4 portal
-
We have been active on our portal in the ipolog user area and have added a scenario view on the web in preparation for upcoming features. The full interaction with the clients ipolog 4 Material Flow and ipolog 4 Workspace will follow soon. The scenario view contains the following functions.
-
It is possible to create a new scenario. In addition to the title, the start date or a comment can be stored. Of course, this information can also be edited later.By default, a newly created scenario is an active scenario. This is displayed with all other active scenarios in an overview. This view also shows whether a comment is stored for a scenario. In addition, it is listed here who created the scenario, when the scenario was created, who last edited the scenario and when the last editing took place. In addition, it is displayed here whether the scenario is locked by another user. Thus, all relevant information about the scenario is bundled in one overview.
In addition, there is also an icon for the status Frozen of a scenario. As a user, I can also edit the Frozen field to quickly protect my scenario from changes.
-
-
- Scenarios can also be deleted in the view. Before a scenario is deleted and then placed in the recycle bin, a confirmation prompt appears. This is to ensure that a scenario is not accidentally placed in the recycle bin.
- In addition to the scenario name, the original type of the scenario is also displayed in the recycle bin. This means that it is always possible to trace the origin of the scenario. In addition, the scenarios that are in the recycle bin can also be restored in order to use them later after all. In the recycle bin, it is also possible to delete all scenarios at once in order to increase the clarity of the recycle bin.
- Once a scenario has been moved to the recycle bin, it can be deleted completely. When deleting a scenario, all revisions are also deleted, so that no inconsistencies occur in the data. Of course, there is also a safety check before the final deletion of a scenario, so that one scenario too many is not accidentally deleted.
- The user can see at any time via an indicator whether a scenario has active revisions. This makes it easier to see whether a scenario contains further planning statuses.
- In addition, it is possible for the user to see at which times a scenario has been saved. For the revisions, the name, the creator, the creation date, the last editor and the last editing date of the scenario can be seen. This gives the user a better overview of the scenario.
- In addition, a "refresh" button is available to refresh the view. This makes changes visible without logout/login.
- In the scenario view it is possible to archive scenarios. This allows scenarios that are no longer needed to be moved to a separate area. This increases the clarity of the view of active scenarios. Archived scenarios can also be converted back into active scenarios so that it is possible to continue working with them.
- In the archive view, the name of the scenario, the creator and the last editor as well as the creation date and the date of the last editing are displayed.
- When editing a scenario, it can also be saved under a new name in order to create a new one based on the existing scenario.
Each active scenario can be marked as a template. Afterwards this is visible in a separate view. For the user, no more changes to the scenario are possible once it has reached this status. All scenarios that are in the Template view can be converted back into normal active scenarios. After the conversion, it is possible that the scenarios can be edited again.
In the Template view, the name of the scenario, the creator and the last editor as well as the creation date and the date of the last editing are displayed again. -
In addition, an optional template can be created when creating a scenario to save recurring configurations for the user. The prerequisite for this is that a scenario has been saved as a template before.
-
It is also possible that each column can be sorted by the user. In addition, a search bar is available in the view, which can be used to search for the scenarios in the view. By default, the scenarios are sorted in descending order according to the last modification.
-
There is one button per group (Active, Archived, Trash, Template). This makes it easy to navigate between views easily. Behind each grouping in the scenario view is indicated how many scenarios are contained in the respective view. This allows a quick overview of the entire volume of the respective project.
-
Functions for admins:
-
We have reworked the display in the Set User Permissions view a bit so that it is optimally integrated into the current design.
-
Before a user group can be deleted, there is now a confirmation prompt so that the wrong user group is not accidentally deleted.
-
In the Users view, it is now possible to remove users from the system who, for example, no longer need access to the system or have changed companies.
-
In the Users view, once the user has been clicked on, it is also still displayed which groups the user is assigned to.
-
-
Other customizations:
-
We have integrated the download of our current release version in our ipolog Cloud, so that it is no longer necessary to go to another page to get the latest version of ipolog.
-
In addition to the current release version, the planning data is now also available in a separate menu item, so that it is also available there centrally in one place.
-
In addition to the optimizations, we have made other ones in the entire view to generate a uniform design. We now also use a uniform design guideline for this purpose.
-
If users do not have access to scenarios in the my ipolog view, they receive a message that no access is possible.
-
It is now also possible for an administrator to adjust spelling errors in projects using the new "Rename" function.
