Each material area in your planning space has an associated area retainer. Boxes or racks that overflow the material area, are incompatible with placement restrictions, or that you wish to manually “hold back” for your placement planning are placed here.
The area retainer replaces the outside corner in ipolog Workspace.
Moving material into the area retainer
When you select a rack or box in the 2D view, the “three dots” icon will appear above it. Here you can select the “Move to Area Retainer” option:
The selected material(s) will then appear in the Area Retainer in the side panel on the right. Material in the Area Retainer can also be identified in the 2D view by the number of materials listed next to the retainer. Clicking on the “Retainer” button reopens the retainer in the right side-panel.
Alternatively, the corresponding area retainer can be opened via the “three dots”-icon on a material area in the 2D view or the material area view in the right side-panel:
Afterwards, the desired boxes/racks can be dragged and dropped into the side panel and thus stored in the area retainer.
Similarly, racks can be moved directly from the rack view in the side panel on the right—using the “three dots” icon—into the corresponding area retainer:
Individual materials can also be moved to the Area Retainer via the material list:
Right-click on a material and select “Move to Area Retainer.”
Moving material from the Area Retainer back to the 2D view
To move a material back from the Area Retainer, first open the Area Retainer in the side panel using the “three dots” icon or the “Retainer” button below the material area name:
There you will see every material located in the area retainer:
Using the “three dots” icon above the material, the “Place on area” option can be used to move the material back to the corresponding material area.
Alternatively, the material can be dragged and dropped from the area retainer back into the 2D view.
