Please note: Before updates from the common data can be synchronized with your planning space, they must first be synchronized with the superordinate scenario. More on this here: Synchronizing part data updates with the scenario.
When opening a planning space
If something changes in the common data of the current scenario, the following message is automatically displayed when opening a planning space:
Here you can decide whether you want to cancel the opening of the planning space, open the planning space anyway or synchronize the changes to the scenario.
Select “Sync updates to scenario” to view the changes:
Here we can see that there haven't been any changes made to the boxes and racks planning states, bevause it is highlighted in blue [1].
Select “Cancel” to cancel the process and select “Continue” to view the changes to the part data:
We can see that there have been changes made to the part data. Details of the changes are displayed using the “arrow” icons [2]. Before you can sync the changes, you can decide which ones should be synced and which shouldn't. Selecting "Select all changes" [1] marks every change. Finally, left-click on "Sync updates to planning space" to synchronize the planning space with the latest status of the common data.
During the use of a planning space:
Changes to part data can also be made while a planning area is in use. In this case, select "Update Part data" in the function bar of ipolog 4:
Selecting a placement algorithm for new part data
After you synchronizing new part data with a planning space, you have the choice between two placement algorithms that determine how the new materials are placed in your scenario:
Here you can decide which method should be used to transfer the changes in the part data to your planning space:
Provide at current location, if po... | Place the material on the next best material surface with free space to be able to line up the material. If there is not enough space there, the material is moved to the outside corner of this material surface. |
Provide on outside corner ... |
The material is positioned directly on the outside corner of the stored material area. If none is stored, the material is moved when changes in
occur. |
