New common view in all ipolog components
-
In the previous structure, you always worked with projects and scenarios, with the scenarios being subordinate to the projects.
In the future, you will work with (ipolog) projects, planning areas and scenarios. The (ipolog) project forms the overarching bracket around different planning areas, which can be interdependent.
-
The (ipolog) project, a planning area and scenarios can be created directly in the portal, in ipolog 4 Material Flow and ipolog 4 Workspace with the appropriate permissions.
-
Besides the function for creating (ipolog) projects and planning areas, we also have renaming them, deleting or archiving available.
-
Also for scenarios, we have now fully equalized the functions between ipolog 4 Material Flow and ipolog 4 Workspace, so that with one design, the same functions are available in every view of ipolog.
How do you like the new structuring in ipolog? What is your favorite function? Write us, we are looking forward to your answer. -
With this unified view, a scenario can now be deleted directly if it is not open, so for ipolog 4 Material Flow and ipolog 4 Workspace it will be pushed to the trash first.
-
Also, renaming scenarios is now possible, that even subsequent changes to the name can be made, for example, to correct spelling errors.
-
Simplification of permissions:
-
To make it easier to set the accesses to an (ipolog) project, module and planning area, we have now adapted this. These permissions can be set per (ipolog) project, module and planning area. There are the roles Admin, Contributor and Reader as permissions to choose from for a user group (are set for the whole system). For the import of resources, however, the Contributor role is required at project level.
-
-
Other changes:
-
Die aktuelle Version des Portals ist sichtbar unten links in der neuen Projekt-/ Planungsbereich-/ Szenarienansicht.
-
The (ipolog) project, the planning area and the scenario are now displayed in the program bar, so that it is comprehensible in which scenario changes are made.
-
Opening a scenario locks it for other users. This is visible in the closed lock icon in front of the scenario name in the scenario overview.
-
Administrators now have the option to unlock a scenario if it is locked by other users to enable the locked scenario to be reopened despite the absence of colleagues. Before unlocking, the user is asked to confirm the operation.
-
Also, only the projects for which users have permissions are visible.
-
The scenario that is currently open is displayed as an open scenario to users for easier navigation there.
-
In addition, it is still possible to switch back to the open scenario despite the implementation of the new structuring, for example, just to briefly read a comment or similar.
-
Also, the layout levels of the standard supply chains can be changed if they are already in use, in order to make changes more easily but keep the previous planning.
-
The home button in the upper left corner can be used to switch back to the central project view.
-
Due to the changeover it is possible that entire planning areas can be exported and imported.
-
Furthermore, open scenarios in ipolog 4 Material Flow and in ipolog 4 Workspace can be closed if they are currently still open but the scenario is to be closed to make it accessible to another user.
-
Solved issues:
-
After activating a token, an error message was displayed again and again. This error message no longer occurs. After activating a new token, the user directly reaches the project overview.
-
After a scenario is closed, it is no longer locked by the user who had opened the scenario before closing it.
New Functions in ipolog 4 Material Flow
-
For optimized planning of empty goods and reduction of orders and transports by taking into account which containers follow the others and how often they fit in there .
-
So that it is directly recognizable when errors are contained in orders for the transport calculation, the order list and the associated error messages are displayed directly when switching to the transport simulation.
-
In the disposal chain of bundlers, the name of the bundler is now displayed instead of the name of the disposal chain. This makes it easier to see for which bundler the flow of empties is planned.
-
In the bundler editor, all columns of the logistical quantity structure are now displayed. A filter has also been implemented for each column, so that the bundlers can be planned more easily.
-
The dynamic heatmap has been extended by another evaluation option. It is now also possible to evaluate how many means of transport travel over a connection or a stop within this time window in the hourly grid.
-
In the Transport Gantt, it is easier to enlarge the time window. The slider can be moved to a certain point in time and by clicking on Zoom In, the displayed time window can be reduced from the total duration, so that a small time frame is visible. Similarly, the Zoom Out button can be used to maximize the displayed time window again.
-
The provision requests in the Production Data submodule only have to be regenerated if changes have been made to the input data. As a result, time can be saved during planning.
-
We have also improved the selection of the standard process chain for the filter node in the decision tree. Now the complete name of the standard process chain is readable and an information about the number of stages is stored. Thus, the entire name of the standard process chain is visible.
Known Issues:
-
In the process chain editor, the stacking factor is not overwritten with the values from the logistical quantity structure if manual changes have been made before.
-
In the process chains for bundlers, there are sometimes minor problems with the update after creating a new breakpoint and the automatic assignment of this.
-
The shortest path is currently not completely displayed in the process chain editor for single-variety parts. Only the tips of the arrows can be seen here.
-
When clicking on a process for loading and unloading in the Transport Gantt, it is possible that an incorrect order is selected in the order list.
-
Minor problems occur in the KPI monitor when updating after certain actions. These should be resolved after a restart at the latest.
-
When renaming a transport group, there is currently no direct update in the transports.
-
In the production data, there is a calculation error for the installation rate of 30% when generating provision requests. Here the production order is scheduled too late.
-
In the path network editor, the undo behavior for path restrictions is not always completely clean.
-
In the waypoint analysis, the display of concrete transports via this point is missing when evaluating according to the entire day. For all other time units, however, the display is correct.
Solved issues:
-
After discarding in the route editor, adjusting the takt time was no longer possible - this is now solved.
-
The save button in the transport simulation only becomes active when changes have been made. This was not the case before.
-
After editing a generated route, a crash no longer occurs. Also, the crash after deleting a route while creating another one is solved.
-
Re-import of exported process blocks is now possible again.
-
Closing the import window (steps 1-3) of the logistic quantity structure no longer has an infinite loop during saving.
-
Import problems have been solved for the import of certain layouts.
-
In the disposal chains, the numbering for the individual steps did not fit. This has now been resolved so that the numbers are fully visible again in the correct order.
-
Unassigned standard bundle chains can now be deleted again without hesitation and without causing a crash.
-
For bundle chains, only parameters for the initial stock greater than 0 can now be entered in the process chain editor.
-
The delivery ratio is now again taken into account when creating provision requests in the production data.
New Functions in ipolog 4 Workspace
-
In the Layout Editor, manipulating surfaces has become much easier with this release version. Surfaces can be dragged longer and wider to adjust these multiples accordingly. This makes it easier to adapt the created surfaces to the surrounding geometries. This simplifies the adjustment of the layout and saves a lot of time in this procedure.
-
In the 2D views there is now a zoom function for an area. First, a rectangle can be created by pressing the Alt key and dragging the mouse. This appears red for the user. By releasing the mouse, the area is zoomed.
-
In the Layout Editor, the creation of stations has been simplified. Stations can now be created easily through this workflow. We have also optimized the user guidance through this creation mask.
-
After importing a facility, its contours were clearly visible and sharp in the 3D view, but the opposite was true in the 2D views. We have fixed this problem so that the facilities are now also clearly recognizable in the 2D views, even when zooming into the views.
-
In ipolog 4 Workspace, the "Freeze" function is now available. It is now possible to set a scenario to be frozen. In doing so, no changes can be made to the scenario until the "Freeze" function is deactivated again.
-
We have also removed views that are no longer in use.
-
The Production Flow View functionality is still available. As part of this, we have also adjusted the labels so that they match the new structuring in ipolog. Due to the new structuring, it is now only possible for planning areas to be referenced that are within the same (ipolog) project. This ensures that only those areas are referenced that have the same parent planning context.
-
After creating a new scenario, it opens directly so that it does not have to be selected from the list again.
Known issues:
-
In the Material Provisioning Editor, there is a crash in the dummy material if an incorrect area name or container name is entered.
-
In the Material Zone Editor it is currently not possible to delete empty shelves.
-
After changing the leading edge, the containers and shelves are not changed in rotation.
-
In case of polygonal areas, the wraps were not always generated directly when materials were added.
-
However, this occurs only in certain special cases.
-
In the Material Zone Editor, shelves and bins can be moved despite lock fixation.
-
Export of a production program in the Production Program view is currently not possible.
-
In reporting, the model mix for all products is not always calculated.
-
The option to move activities to other products in the Worker Gantt is currently not possible.
-
There is currently a crash when creating the Material Zone Excel Report (Custom Reporting).
-
After changing area names in the Layout Editor, this name is not always updated directly in all other views.
-
In the Conveyor Editor, the position and orientation are not used immediately after a restart. Here you have to click again on the corresponding station in the Conveyor Editor.
-
In the Material Provisioning Editor, the colors of the containers are lost after "Renew Placement".
-
After changes in the Worker Gantt, this is always recalculated automatically, even if Auto-Recalculate is deactivated. Also the function "Move activities to other products" is currently not available to the full extent.
-
In addition, when using the colorizer, updating problems can occur in some cases, for example when containers are moved.
Solved issues:
-
The referenced facilities are displayed in the 2D view in the Layout Editor and Material Zone Editor.
-
After resolving the referencing via the Production Flow View, the referenced surfaces no longer remain, but are hidden.
-
The referenced facilities were partially moved in the 3D view and no longer visible in the 2D view. We have solved this problem.
-
After adjusting the distance between container groups in the Material Zone Editor, an adjustment of the distance settings takes place as soon as they are triggered via the button included in the dialog.
-
When duplicating a container, the thumbnails are now completely regenerated.
-
The shelf layers are now no longer lost after exporting the 4MF package.
-
When inserting facilities from the catalog, a crash occurred in certain cases. This has now been solved.
-
When editing a station in the Layout Editor, there was a wrong overlay of texts, whereupon not everything was visible. Now you can read all elements of the input mask completely again.
-
Now files in .dgn and .dwg format can be imported into ipolog again.
-
Deleting multiple areas in the Layout Editor at once has been accelerated.
