The view of your project in ipolog Factory Viewer can be tailored to your needs by adjusting the settings in Workspace. To do this, first select "Options" in the top right-hand corner of Workspace:
Then select the "Factory Viewer" tab. The "Configuration" window opens:
This is divided into 5 sections: Publishing Configuration, Elements to publish, MQTT Configuration, File Location Configuration and Factory Viewer Installation Directory.
1. Publishing configuration
By default, two project names are initially stored in the ipolog Factory Viewer ("Project" and "Template"), to each of which 3 zones are assigned:
The project names under "Project" each represent a complete project, with workers, routes, etc. - In short: your workspace project.
Under "Planning Space" you can select a zone assigned to the project. You can later assign individual elements of the project to this zone under "Elements to publish" and quickly switch back and forth between the zones in the ipolog Factory Viewer. A project or zone can receive updates from Material Flow and Workspace - this enables a common visualization.
"Clear Current Planning Space" deletes the elements previously linked to ipolog Factory Viewer. The option "Clear existing Data on publish" has the same effect - but only as soon as you update ipolog Factory Viewer.
Select the "pencil" icon to manage your Factory Viewer projects, change their name, delete them or add new ones:
Click on the "+" symbol next to a project to open the list of assigned zones. These can also be edited:
2. Elements to publish
Here you can decide which elements from your workspace are to be assigned to which Factory Viewer project or which zone of the project.
To do this, select or deselect the individual elements:
In this case, the areas, material, workers and products (shown in the ipolog 3D model) from Workspace are assigned to the project "Project" and its zone "Zone01". To display these in ipolog Factory Viewer, the selection must be confirmed by selecting "Open in Factory Viewer". This makes it possible to assign individual elements - such as facilites or updates of the factory simulation - to other zones or even to add them from Material Flow.
Please note: For a common visualization of data from ipolog 4 Workspace and ipolog 4 Material Flow, it must be ensured that the same project and the same zone are selected.
The elements sent from Workspace to ipolog Factory Viewer can still be changed afterwards. To do this, adjust your selection and select "Update in Factory Viewer":
To switch between projects, you can enter the corresponding project name (which you have previously defined in Workspace) in ipolog Factory Viewer under "Server Connection" > "Project Name":
Note: A project name is only recognized if you have already linked elements to the Factory Viewer under this name.
3. MQTT Configuration
Here you can set whether you want to access your projects via your own server interface and visualize them with the Factory Viewer.
Note: This function is not available in v1.0.0 for the time being.
4. File Location Configuration
If you want to use your own 3D models, you can select them here. The models must be in ".gltf" format.
5. Factory Viewer Installation Directory
To be able to visualize your workspace project with the ipolog Factory Viewer, the corresponding file path must be selected. It must contain the file "DigitalTwinViewer4.exe" or "ipolog_FactoryViewer.exe".
