Future project structuring
In the previous structure, you always worked with projects and scenarios, with the scenarios being subordinate to the projects.
During planning in ipolog, projects, planning areas and scenarios are now available from Release 2022-02 (ipolog).
(ipolog) Project
The (ipolog) project forms the overarching bracket around different planning areas that may be interdependent.
In the example, the Factory Leonberg is the (ipolog) project. The planning areas are located within this project.
Planning Space
Planning Spaces are separate areas from the ipolog project that are planned separately. A distinction must be made here between the Planning Spaces for coarse placement (module 4MF) and the Planning Spaces for fine placement (module 4WS). These Planning Spaces describe, for example in ipolog 4 Workspace, individual sections of the assembly line or warehouse sections to be planned separately.
Scenarios
There can be any number of different scenarios for each Planning Space. The scenarios here are different variants that, for example, show alternative solutions for a concrete planning problem or different planning stages in terms of time (for example 2022 - 2024 - 2026).
The structure of ipolog is analogous to a folder structure. The folder "Factory Leonberg" can contain all material flow planning for Leonberg (= planning area Factory hall 27 (4MF)) and the divided areas for a fine placement (= Factory hall 27 Assembly (4WS) and Factory hall 27 storage supermarket (4WS)) as one folder each.
As usual, the scenarios can be found within the Planning Spaces.
