After assigning part families to a standard supply chain, you can adjust the supply chains individually for each part in this step.
To do this, select the submodule "Supply Chain Editor".
You can find an overview of the general functions of the supply chain editor here.
Due to the data quality of the LMG and the assignment of the corresponding parts to an SVK, the majority of the initial required information can be filled out automatically (e.g. material areas, stops, etc.).
The different inventory values, which are visible in the lower area for each process step, are filled in by IPO.Log with the help of standard values. Information on their calculation can be found here.
Implement the following information in the supply chain editor for each SVK. Use the sort function of the different columns of the LMG on the left side and the multiselect (Shift+left mouse button) of several LOG-IDs to speed up the input.
- Selecting a standard process chain
- Select the sort function for a column of the LMG
- Select whether a part is placed on a shelf or on the floor
- Specify the box matrix (explanation of the box matrix can be found here)
- Select a trailer type
According to the LMG, GLTs, SLTs (sequence load carriers) and KLTs are used in your planning factory. Euro pallets are also used for engines, seats, steering wheels and tires. To complete the task, note the following conditions in your planning factory.
The "B-Frame" and the "Shelf trolly 2" are used as standard trailers. The "Shelf trolly 2" is used exclusively for transporting KLTs.
Motors are placed on the assembly line on the special rack DICV_RollConv.
KLTs are placed from the time of storage in the supermarket in the standard rack "DR-0.74x1.60x2.19-E4-R" with a 1x2x1 matrix.
The group of parts wheels is placed on each surface with a 1x2x4 matrix.
Additional/Optional:
In the planning factory GLTs and SLTs are placed on each surface on the floor.
GLTs and SLTs are placed with the box matrix 2x2x2 in incoming goods and bulk storage. Two load carriers can be placed one behind the other (1x2x1) in the rack storage, processing center, supermarket and assembly line.
The materials of a pallet are placed with a 2x2x1 matrix on the areas of the incoming goods and block storage. Otherwise they are placed with a 1x2x1 matrix.
Save your changes.
Note: Using the sort function, you can sort the part families in the LMG by load carrier type by clicking on the "Load carrier type" column. This helps you to quickly take the mentioned above information into account.
Check that the supply chain for each part is confirmed by a green check mark. Otherwise, follow the lines marked with a red exclamation mark.
To determine the maximum number of load carriers per trailer, switch to the next submodule “Trailer Planning”
Since only the "B-Frame" and the "Shelf trolly 2" are used in the planning factory, you can ignore the other trailer types. Since the B-frame transports GLTs, SLTs, and pallets, the default value of "1" does not need to be adjusted. With the trailer "Shelf trolly 2" you know from experience that on average 10 KLTs can be transported. Change the corresponding number and click Save.
