Option 1: local license server (test licenses)
Here we briefly describe how to set up the license server for the ipolog Workspace module.
Preparation
Please download the corresponding license server, which was sent to you by the ipolog employee as a link.
Read ID
Please run the application "IPOLicenseServerV3GUI.exe" in the folder "Licensing".
After opening, the following window appears.
Please send the "ServerID" to the corresponding employee.
Set up license
Through the IPO.Plan employee you now receive a license file.
Please select the license file under "...".
After the successful selection of the file please start the license server under "Start Process".

Option 2: Central network server - setup for the client.
If there is a central network server, the IP of the network server must be entered in ipolog 4 Workspace.
This is done under the settings, "Licence Server".
In the field "Host" the IP of the network server can be entered, and if necessary the port can be adapted.
Information on the central setup of the server for admins
Requirements for the central IPO.Log license server:
- Windows operating system
- Minimum requirements to run a Windows service
- Hard disk space 100mb
- fixed network IP. The clients need this IP.
- Default Port 8534
To make a floating license available to all users in the network, you can use the procedure described above to set up a network license.
However, it is advisable to set up the server as a Windows server. The "ListenPort" port is the port from which users can access the license server.
To do this, the application must be run as an administrator.
Then you can set up the Windows service (1.) and start it (2.).
